Crazy last few weeks. Been working that shitty ass plumbing gig trying to save up enough money to blow on booze and prints for the show this coming Friday! That's right I said it! This series of five paintings is all mixed media, (as usual anymore) and what was cool about the goal of this show was to incorporate Hip Hop into the visual language. It was a success for me I think prolly because I listen to gangsta ass rap and hate music while I paint. I know what each one means to me but that's a secret I plan to keep well, secret. Unless of course you get me drunk. Here's a few previews...
Aside from this show coming up life's been wild. Lotta death lately. Saw that dude die when he fell off the fire escape, my man Bart got hit by a car but he's a beast and his dreads saved his life, couple shootings here and there, my Pop-Pop passed back in August and Mark too. Not all bad shit tho. I painted live at Art All Night, went on a cruise to Bermuda, Otakon that anime fesitival in Baltimore, met Tradd Moore and Justin Jordan at Comic-Con, mended a couple friendships, and broke a few more off. O yea and fuck the thief that stole Street Hounds from the bar. If I find where you live I'll throw stones and maxi pads down your toilet.
