Do Not Disturb

It feels good walking into a room and knowing that your phone charger will be where you left it . No maid has moved it or youve lost it in some bar or that youve forgotten you lent it to a friend at his house during a night of forced cards against humanity. Home. Home is where you can sleep naked. For me its been in hotel rooms for the past two weeks and it feels good to know that i dont have to put up a do not disturb. Been a wild past few weeks. Between watching a friend get bit by dogs and almost run over dogs, people I thought were shady be nice, people i thought were nice be shady, ride with Quadzilla through the streets on sheeps pelt, stare myself in the eye through thousands of dollars worth of gold, drink at a bar where old people talk about the negative influence of family guy, make money, take money, buy things, lose things, talk to new girls, realize that for some reason girls just generally lie about their age, encounter friends when least expected, treat myself, and treat others, its just good to be at a place where I feel safe to take my socks off. Where I dont have to look through plated glass and order cigarettes through a carousel. I think maybe Ive just been spoiled recently. Cuz seeing shit, just seems to make me homesick.

January

Slowing down and staying focused. I've been trying to read more. This year is off to a fast start and the days are flying off the calendar. Today I've got a Star Wars party to go to. Tonight I've got some dice to play. Lose it all, gain it back.

Another Year

I'll be 24 in a few days. I'm running out of time. I just got back from a trip I shouldnt have went on. Sometimes the words of others arent the words they mean to say. Other times theyre exactly what they mean and they take it back. Apologies are stupid.

I've got a lot of work to keep pushing on. My brother is having a rough time too. The summer is hot and I'm tired of sunlight. I got sun burnt in Seattle and now I've got a tan line where my hat is. Hard to sell frames looking this way. California is a drag sometimes. Maybe I'm just moody.

I'm definitely moody. It's been a while since I've got fucked. I did see my first waterfall tho.

Remind Me Later

Busy Busy Busy. Although I don't really know what I've been doing. Mainly just boozin cruizin & loozin. O and waiting for Big K.R.I.T. to drop Cadillatica already. Here's some photos of me awakardly standing near some of the great people I've managed to not scare away since moving to California. Further proving the fact that if you linger long enough, acceptance is granted.

Linger on and attend our weekly art night at Comics For The Win. Never censored. Always aroused.

Tracks

When I was a kid my momma taught us that when you drive over railroad tracks you lift your feet and make a wish. These wishes would then come true so long as you kept them to yourself.

I find myself doing this more and more lately. I don't know if its because I miss my family and my roots now that I am so far away or if its something bigger than that. Ive realized that wishes come true. You wish something and when wish hard enough, it becomes your reality. You'll do anything to make your wish come true. Fuck a genie and three wishes I just need a beanie and three bitches. Or maybe I just need to stop living so close to railroad tracks...

Peripheral Vision

I've been alone too long. My peripheral vision keeps fucking with me and I see shadows move in the dark. There's nothing there when I look. Are they just my imagination or am I losing it?

I had a horrible nightmare the other day when I fell asleep after running errands. In it I was driving some car down a busy highway. Lightning struck my windshield and everything went dark. I could still feel the car around me but all I could see was this blinding jagged cut in the windshield. Sound was crushing my ear drums. Just this unbelievable droning of crashes and booms. I tried to stop the car when I got struck by the lightning but I lost control of it. It seemed to act on it's on, accelerating and swerving all by itself. Eventually the light from the windshield faded and the I went deaf from the sound. All I was left with was the sensation of running over everything in my path. The car felt like it was running over bodies but I couldn't see hear screams and I couldn't see. The car took me faster and faster until it spun out wildly and I woke up.

The Maiden in the Tower

The prince, out for a stroll with the royal homies, split from the group to take a piss. Off the beaten path the prince looked for a good place to relieve himself when suddenly a beautiful but eerie sound came in with an easterly breeze. Cursing his aim the prince shook his boot free of a puddle of urine. Intrigued, he parted the bush and ventured towards the source of the mysterious sound.

Deeper into the forest, the canopy was so dense that the prince was stumbling in the dark, listening. Following his ears the prince tripped and stumbled through tangled roots and darkness until he was so close that the sound seemed to be swirling around him in the darkness. He looked upwards towards the highest branches and realized he was standing at the foot of an enormous tower beneath impossibly tall trees. A small light flickered at the top of the tower, from its solitary window.

The prince stood below calling out to the window. He circled the tower finding no door nor stair. All the while the strange sound continued, getting faster and heavier. Higher pitches were now screaming across the woods. Now completely surrounded by darkness at the foot of the tower, the prince saw a shadow dancing on the wall of the room with the flickering light. A terrifying howl, or was it a moan, screeched from the window. The prince, horrified, ran away from the tower realizing where he had heard this sound before. When he was a boy in the hallway outside his parents room.

Again he ran, again with pants soaked in horror.

Hit It & Quit It

Listen to the suave lyrics of the wonderous and jive ridden Funkadelic song, Hit It and Quit It. Get in and pull out while you're winning. Mickey said it best. "Women weaken legs." Even if you got no legs keep movin and funkin cuz the world won't wait.

Ketchup Mustard & Ranch

This August I turned 23, had my largest and fanciest art exhibit to date, got published in the same newspaper as Dave Chappelle, went to Otakon and took pics of hot babes, traveled the road, got tattooed, got rejected, made mistakes, ate way too much lobster, met some great people and a fantastic artist, found out that Maine has a great bar scene, *cough cough* and I failed yet again to drink enough.  Also got lost in the woods for a bit there. Pretty pissed Yolo Yogurt was closed when we got there.

September is here and Fall is in the air. Wow that was lame. Anyways I'll be posting more now that I'm settling back in. O wait. Im not. My friends sold their house too. I move to California in 24 days.

Here's the art review
